Cross-Docking / Producer Direct
Co-op Partners works with over 36 regional producers to deliver their product on our trucks.
We work with many regional producers and farmers to deliver their product on our trucks. This enables small businesses without delivery infrastructure to expand the reach of their products. Utilizing the cross-docking service increases efficiency, decreases your time traveling and fuel, and lowers everyone’s carbon footprint.
Producers wishing to cross-dock product must first set up a vendor account with CPW, and their destination customers must be mutual customers of CPW. To become a new cross-docking partner with CPW, please contact Christa at christa@cpw.coop
HOW IT WORKS
Order directly from the producer, who will inform you about availability and general timeline for delivery.
The producer consolidates orders and drops them at CPW, along with paperwork (invoice or shipping document).
CPW delivers the product on our next regular shipment to you. Our driver will present two copies of paperwork for the product, one is yours to keep, the other must be signed and returned with the driver. In some cases , producers will mail a separate invoice to you.
We bill the producer, not the customer, for delivery, unless otherwise instructed by the producer.
